A 19-year-old Worthington man on trial in Brown County for allegedly raping a 16-year-old Cobden girl was found Not Guilty on all of the charges against him on Friday. The jury deliberated for about 90 minutes before acquitting Taylor Anderson on five counts of felony criminal sexual conduct as well as misdemeanor assault. Anderson reportedly met the girl on Facebook and the 2 then later met at an apartment in Springfield and had sex. Anderson’s public defender argued that the defendant was falsely portrayed as a rapist and that a rapist and his victim wouldn’t send text messages with happy faces & hearts to each other after they met. The jury trial took 3 days.
