An 18-year-old New Prague woman is dead after a car crash in Carver County Tuesday night. Authorities say that icy conditions were a major factor in the broadside crash, which occurred at just before 9:30pm on Carver County Road 11 in Carver. Mickenzy Segler of New Prague was driving a Chevy Malibu southbound when she lost control and slid into oncoming traffic and was hit by a pickup truck. The driver of the truck, 32-year-old Robert MacDonald of Carver reportedly attempted to avoid the car, but hit it’s passenger side. Segler was pronounced dead after the crash. She was not wearing a seatbelt. MacDonald suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt.
