More charges are being filed in connection with the drug overdose death of a 17-year-old Mankato girl earlier this month. The boyfriend of Chloe Moses is facing criminal charges after her apparent overdose on a synthetic drug known as 2CE. 17-year-old Trace Hafner of Blue Earth has been charged with 3rd-degree sale of a controlled substance to a person under 18. Four other people are also being charged in relation to the drug, which is believed to have also caused the death of a 22-year-old man. The drug was being sold in blue packages with gold or silver crowns. Hafner is making his first appearance in Blue Earth County Court today (WED). He reportedly told authorities that he bought what he believed was LSD, and after he and Moses took the pills she began “freaking out” and experiencing seizures.
