The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Denver Nuggets last night in Minneapolis 117-90. The Wolves were led by their All Star forward Kevin Love who scored 32 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out eight assists. Corey Brewer contributed to the win scoring 22 and point guard Ricky Rubio played well on both ends of the floor for Minnesota recording seven steals to go along with his 11 points and 12 assists. The win improves the Wolves’ record to 25-and-28 at the All Star break. Minnesota returns to action next Wednesday when they play host to the Indiana Pacers.
Love Headed To All Star Game
Kevin Love is on his way to New Orleans and the NBA’s All Star game. Love will be making his third All Star appearance but he will make his first All Star game start on Sunday in the NBA’s showcase game. Love will also try to recapture his three Point Challenge championship. Love won the contest back in 2012 but had to miss last years contest due to injury. The three point challenge’s defending champion is the Cleveland Cavaliers Kyrie Irving.
