One person was hurt in a car crash on Highway 22 in Le Sueur County Thursday afternoon. it happened at around 3:15pm near Kasota. A Chevy Malibu driven by 30-year-old Keith Stenzel of St. Peter had stopped on the highway while waiting to turn onto County Road 101 when it was rear-ended by a Mazda 6 driven by 20-year-old Lane Dulon of Prior Lake. The Mazda then pushed the Malibu into the ditch, where it overturned. Stenzel was not hurt in the crash, but Dulon was taken to the Mankato Mayo Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles were totaled.
A Waseca woman was injured in a car crash on Highway 14 near Eagle Lake Friday morning. 61-year-old Maureen Sonday was driving a Pontiac G6 westbound on 14 when a GMC Sierra heading southbound on Blue Earth County Road 17 collided with her car at around 7:40am. Sonday was taken to the Mankato Mayo Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Sierra, 69-year-old Steve Olinger of Madison Lake was not hurt.
