Two people were arrested early Saturday following a theft from a Marshall business that led to a 26-mile car chase with police. The pursuit began at just before 12:30am Saturday after the theft of a high dollar amount of merchandise from the downtown Marshall business. Authorities from several law enforcement agencies pursued the suspects and after deploying spike strips to stop the vehicle they apprehended a 24-year-old Willmar man and a 42-year-old homeless woman in Clarkfield. They are facing charges of fleeing police in a motor vehicle, burglary, felony theft and obstruction of the legal process. No one was injured in the pursuit.
