January Was Cold In Minnesota 01 Feb 14

The frigid January of 2014 is in the record books as February gets underway. In New Ulm in January there were 19 days throughout the month where the temperature fell below zero. There were a total of 4 days in January where the temp never got above zero, and the coldest it got was January 7th and 8th when it got down to 22-below both nights. New Ulm saw over 11-inches of snow in January as well. In comparison to the year before, New Ulm saw less than 3-inches of snow in January of 2013, but there were 7 days that never got above zero that month.
