The University of Minnesota womens basketball team won its third straight game last night when it defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 63-50 in Madison. Minnesota was led by its point guard Rachel Banham, who played all 40 minutes and scored 19 points. Amanda Zuihi added 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds. The win moves the Gophers to 5-and-6 in conference play and 16-and-9 overall. Minnesota will head back out on the road Saturday and try and make it four wins in a row when it takes on the Northwestern Wildcats in Evansville, IL.
Gopher Men In Wisconsin Tonight
The University of Minnesota mens basketball team will try to return its Big Ten record back to .500 when it takes on the Wisconsin Badgers tonight in Madison. The Gophers enter the game with a 5-and-6 Big Ten record and 16-and-8 overall, but are just 1-and-4 on the road in Big Ten play. Wisconsin enters the game one game ahead of Minnesota in the conference standings. The Gophers won the first meeting between these two teams back on January 22nd in Minneapolis 81-68.
