A request to delay the criminal sexual conduct trial of former professional wrestler Buck “Rock n’ Roll” Zumhofe was denied in Kandiyohi County Court on Thursday. The 62-year-old Zumhofe, whose real name is Eugene Otto Zumhofe, faces 12 counts of 1st and 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct over accusations that he had sexual contact with a female relative around 1,800 times over a 12-year period, beginning in 1999 when the girl was 15. Zumhofe has pleaded not guilty, and reportedly attempted to delay his trial in an effort to locate witnesses to testify in his defense. Prosecutors objected to Zumhofe’s request because the trial has already been delayed numerous times. The trial is now set to start on Wednesday. Zumhofe served a 36-month prison sentence for criminal sexual conduct in Carver County beginning in 1989. He was released from custody for the latest charges after posting $50,000 bail in July.
