The Brown County Board today (TUE) is scheduled to consider a resolution for the county to cover the maintenance and electricity costs of putting a street light at the intersection of Highway 68 and Brown County Road 29 near Morgan. Mn-DOT is planning a project on Highway 68 in that area this summer, and the light will be installed if the county agrees to maintain the light and pay for electricity, which is expected to be around $500 per-year. There would be no associated construction costs for Brown County. In other business today, the Board will consider ordering a new tandem snowplow truck and using a 14-year-old vehicle as a trade-in. The meeting starts at 9am at the Brown County Courthouse in New Ulm.
