Accused Murderer Sent To Prison 18 Feb 14

The man accused of murdering a fellow patient at the Minnesota Security Hospital in St. Peter has been moved from the Nicollet County Jail to a maximum-security facility in Stillwater. 32-year-old Darnell Dee Whitefeather has been charged with 3 counts of murder for allegedly killing Michael Francis Douglas at the security hospital last month. Authorities say that Whitefeather has been now been relocated to the prison in Stillwater due to the availability of psychological services there. He will be returning to Nicollet County for court appearances, and then will be transferred back to Stillwater by the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office. Whitefeather’s next court date is April 9th
