One person was hurt in a rollover accident on an icy Highway 169 north of St. Peter early this (WED) morning. 32-year-old David Woodbury of Hugo apparently lost control of his Ford Focus at some point before 2:45am today and the car left the road and rolled, coming to rest on its roof. It was found by a Nicollet County Sheriff’s Deputy, and Woodbury was taken to the St. Peter Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol says that alcohol was detected in his system. The vehicle was totaled.
A Truman woman was injured in a crash with a semi-truck on Highway 15 in Martin County Tuesday afternoon. 23-year-old Nicollette Johansen was driving a Chevy PT Cruiser northbound on 15 when she reportedly came across the centerline at just after 3pm near Truman. A southbound semi driven by 55-year-old Bryan Albers of Hartford, South Dakota tried to avoid a crash and the passenger side of the car hit the passenger side of the truck. Johansen was taken to the Fairmont Hospital with injuries described as being non life-threatening. She was not wearing a seatbelt, and her car was totaled. The truck driver was not hurt.
