The Mankato City Council has voted to ban the use of e-cigarettes in public buildings. Monday’s vote was 6-1. The ban on the vapor-emitting devices comes over concerns whether that vapor is dangerous, especially second-hand. Along with the indoor ban on e-cigarettes in Mankato, the council also voted to require that they only be purchased at actual stores, and not in vending kiosks. The new rules will go into effect in 30 days.
