Fire crews were called out to an early morning house fire in Belle Plaine Monday. Firefighters responded to the home on Linden Street North about a block from the Belle Plaine Fire Station at around 6am, and had the fire extinguished and cleanup underway about 2 hours later. The occupants of the home were able to escape safely, with no injuries reported. The Jordan Fire Department assisted at the scene, and firefighters were rotated in and out of the house to seek warmth in a nearby fire truck. The home’s electrical system is believed to be the cause of the fire.
