Two people were hurt Thursday afternoon when their car collided with a dump truck on an icy Interstate 90 near Fairmont. It happened at just after 3:30pm at the junction with Martin County Road 39. A Lincoln Town Car driven by 78-year-old Rodney Rye of Porter was westbound on I-90 when it was broadsided by the northbound truck driven by 21-year-old Conner Diegnau of Fairmont. He escaped injury, but Rye and his passenger, 74-year-old Darlene Rye were both taken to the Fairmont Mayo Hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol is investigating the crash.
