Today’s (TUE) adult certification hearing for a Willmar teenager accused of taking part in a murder this past summer has now turned into a plea hearing. 16-year-old Devon Jenkins is currently charged as a juvenile with two counts of second-degree murder for the July 29th stabbing and strangulation death of 79-year-old Lila Warwick in her Willmar home. Jenkins is accused of driving co-defendant Brok Junkermeier to and from Warwick’s home the morning of the murder. Prosecutors say he was also involved in planning the murder along with Junkermeier and Warwick’s 18-year-old grandson Robert Warwick. Junkermeier and Warwick are both being tried as adults on charges of first-degree murder, and face the possibility of spending the rest of their lives in prison.
