Snow Causes Crashes Statewide 09 Dec 13

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to more than 400 crashes statewide on Sunday after light snowfall coated roads already covered by ice. Lieutenant Eric Roeske says there were injuries in at least 52 wrecks, although none were serious or fatal, and at least 336 cars spun out or slid off the road. Mn/Dot and public works crews in cities across the state have been working overnight to clear streets, but with blowing snow creating a challenge drivers are encouraged to leave a little early and adjust their driving according to the road conditions they encounter.
