Minnesota’s unemployment rate fell two-tenths of a percent in November to 4.6%. State labor analyst Steve Hine says seasonally-adjusted nonfarm employment fell by 800 jobs, but that small decline was offset by an upward revision of October’s level by 1,000 jobs. In addition to that, numbers for the private sector in October were also revised upward, bringing the net gain over two months to nearly five thousand jobs. Hine says government lost 3,200 jobs in November while information led all sectors with 1,300 jobs gained. The US jobless rate was 7% last month.
