More people then ever before are now calling Minnesota home. A new estimate released Monday by the US Census Bureau shows the state’s population is still climbing. By the bureau’s estimate, there were now 5,420,380 people living in Minnesota as of July 1st. That’s up almost 41,000 from last year’s projection. By this year’s estimate, Minnesota clocks in as the 21st most populous state. Neighboring Wisconsin comes in at Number 20, with more than 5.7 million people.
