A rural Hutchinson man is facing multiple charges after a crash and slow speed chase near Darwin early Thursday morning. Authorities received a report of a vehicle in the ditch near Highway 12 in Darwin at shortly after 2am, and the caller said the driver was drunk. As deputies arrived, 35-year-old Thomas Servaty was reportedly able to drive the vehicle out of the ditch, and as officers walked up to the SUV he allegedly fled, leading to a slow speed pursuit southbound on Meeker County Road 14. The chase ended about one mile later after Servaty lost control of the vehicle and went into the ditch. He was taken into custody for charges of driving under the influence and fleeing law enforcement in a motor vehicle, and was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital for possible injuries. He was released a short time later, and was taken to the Meeker County Jail.
