Three people were injured in a crash just east of Redwood Falls Monday morning. It happened at around 8am in Redwood County’s Paxton Township on County Road 24 just east of Ocean Avenue. Authorities say that 24-year-old Jessica Nelson of Redwood Falls lost control of her van on the icy road and slid into an SUV driven by 70-year-old Snith Sinarath of Redwood Falls. They were both taken to the Redwood Area Hospital along with Nelson’s passenger, 31-year-old Christopher Loos. He needed to be extracted from the van before being hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries to his leg. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
An Eagle Lake man was injured Tuesday evening when his semi-truck ran off the road on Interstate 35 near Faribault. The State Patrol says that 60-year-old Duane Hanson lost control of his southbound truck at around 5:15pm Tuesday and it went into the ditch and hit some fence posts before stopping. Hanson was taken to the Faribault Hospital with injuries described as being non life-threatening. His semi was totaled.
