Authorities in McLeod County are looking for three men allegedly involved in an assault with a weapon that was reported Saturday evening north of Hutchinson. It apparently occurred two days before that, on Thursday. 46-year-old Keith Tupa of Hutchinson told authorities that he had been assaulted and shot in the leg, and that his cell phone was taken. He was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment of fractures to his face and the gunshot wound to his leg, which shattered his femur. Authorities are looking for 52-year-old Michael Ray Hugget of Atwater, described as being 5’8″ and overweight with brown hair. The two other suspects are described as Caucasian, about 50-years-old, one tall and skinny, with silver hair and a silver beard, the other with brown hair and a brown beard. All were possibly wearing jean jackets and left the scene in a 4-door, white Chevy pickup. There is no information as to what led to the incident.
