Winter Hazard Awareness Week 08 Nov 13

As Winter Hazard Awareness Week comes to an end, officials are urging motorists to plan for winter driving conditions. State Patrol Lieutenant Eric Roeske says it’s a good idea to know what’s happening outside before you get behind the wheel. Last year there were nearly 6,000 crashes on snow-and ice-covered Minnesota roads and 17 people were killed. Lieutenant Roeske says that when it gets slippery outside it’s essential to increase your following distance.
