Two people were injured in a car crash on Highway 13 north of Montgomery Thursday morning. 59-year-old Ingrid Devries of Le Sueur was driving a 2009 Honda Fit westbound on Le Sueur County Road 28 when she broadsided a northbound Chevy Malibu on Highway 13 at around 6am. Devries was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale with injuries described as being non life-threatening. The driver of the Malibu, 60-year-old Earl Flynn of Elysian was taken to Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague with non life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles took severe damage.
Two people were hurt in a rollover accident on Highway 169 in Nicollet County early this (FRI) morning. It happened at just after 4am near St. Peter. A southbound Mercury Cougar driven by 20-year-old Paris Smith of Minneapolis went off the road and into the ditch and rolled. Smith and her passenger, 25-year-old Kyle Johnson of Mankato were both taken to the Mankato Mayo Hospital by St. Peter Ambulance to be treated for non life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol says that alcohol was detected in Smith’s system. An investigation is underway.
