Two Injured In Area Car Accidents 06 Nov 13

A Madelia woman was injured this (WED) morning when her car hit a deer on Highway 14. It happened at just before 6:30am at the junction with Blue Earth County Road 17 near Eagle Lake. 51-year-old Lisa Elkins was driving a 2013 Chevy Equinox eastbound on 14 when her car struck the deer. She was taken to the Mankato Mayo Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The damage to her vehicle was severe.


A Glencoe man was injured in a rollover accident on Highway 212 Tuesday morning. It happened at around 9:12am in Glencoe. 34-year-old Chad Weber was driving a 1998 Chevy Monte Carlo eastbound on 212 when the car left the road and hit a guard rail before it entered the ditch and rolled. Weber was taken to the Glencoe Hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt. His Monte Carlo was totaled.
