Kids across Minnesota can see what hockey is all about at Try Hockey For Free Day today (SAT). Seventy-three events are scheduled at rinks around the state, including in New Ulm and Sleepy Eye. The events are aimed at welcoming boys and girls, ages 4 to 9, to come to a local rink and try youth hockey free of charge. This is the third consecutive year that Minnesota Hockey has participated in USA Hockey’s Try Hockey For Free Day. Last November, 43 Minnesota locations hosted a Try Hockey For Free event. Equipment will be provided and no experience is required. To learn more and find a location near you go to www.minnesotahockey.org/tryhockeyforfree.
