Authorities at MSU-Mankato have lifted a lockdown at the school following a stabbing in a dormitory Friday afternoon. The university says that someone who was not a student was cut on his hand and the injury was not life-threatening. Several students who came out of McElroy G dorm hall reported blood being spattered down the hallway on the second floor. After the incident at around 3:30pm Friday, campus security issued an alert advising all students, faculty and staff to stay put where they were. Mankato police are continuing the investigation, and say that the incident appears not to be random.
