New Information On MSU Stabbing 19 Nov 13

Charges have been filed against 4 people in connection to a stabbing incident at an MSU-Mankato dormitory Friday, in what authorities are now calling a “Marijuana Deal Gone Bad.” The assault took place in MSU’s McElroy Residence Hall. 18-year-old Kjontra Dupre Diamond of Coon Rapids was reportedly visiting his girlfriend, 18-year-old Jamie Elizabeth Beck when 2 men broke into the room. MSU Building Services Employee 22-year-old David Mulbah Swaray and MSU Student 18-year-old Brandon Jonathan Brown have been charged with burglary and assault after allegedly breaking into the dorm room. They were apparently there in retaliation to Diamond stealing a bag of marijuana the night before, and said that he was the one with a knife and was cut while they attempted to disarm him. Diamond and Beck are facing robbery charges, and authorities say that others may be charged as well.
