MN Give To The Max Day Totals 15 Nov 13

The state’s fifth annual Give to the Max Day had an overwhelming start, with more than $9-million dollars in donations made before lunchtime — but the high volume of traffic on the website dedicated to online giving for Minnesota nonprofit organizations and schools crashed the system Thursday afternoon. It was down for more than five hours.  Give-MN organizers say the site was back up by about 6pm, and donors kept giving – topping last year’s $16-million in donations.  The final tally showed over 52,000 people donating more than $17-million to around 4,400 non-profits and schools.
