The recent burglary of a sporting goods store in Marshall has led to the arrest of 2 Worthington residents and a juvenile from Iowa. A vehicle that had been stolen in Worthington was used to crash through the front of Borch’s Sporting Goods on October 29th and several firearms were stolen. During a routine traffic stop in Worthington on Sunday, an officer noticed suspicious behavior from the passengers, and a search of the vehicle turned up 4 firearms, 3 of which were confirmed as stolen from the store in Marshall. Michele Lopez and Julio Hernandez, along with a 17-year-old Estherville, Iowa, resident were all arrested and now face multiple charges, including possession of firearms and stolen property. Charges will also likely be filed in connection to the stolen vehicle. The case remains under investigation.
