Mankato Kohl’s Kidnapping Charges 23 Nov 13

Two Le Center residents were charged with kidnapping, aggravated robbery and assault on Friday for their alleged connection to an incident outside the Mankato Kohl’s store earlier this week. A woman had reported being assaulted by two people with a knife Tuesday night in the parking lot of the Kohl’s. The two were apparently trying to take the woman’s purse and force her into the back seat of her vehicle in an attempt to steal it, but the crime was stopped by a Kohl’s employee. The victim did reportedly suffer 2 puncture wounds during the struggle, but was not seriously injured. 20-year-old Jesus Arroyo III and 29-year-old Josefina Arreola were both in court Friday. Bail was set at $150,000 for Arroyo and $75,000 for Arreola.
