The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension continues to investigate a recent officer-involved shooting in Hutchinson. The October 25th shooting took place at 8:30am when Hutchinson Police Officer Sergeant Eric Kilian responded to a 911 call of a suspicious person inside an apartment. The person involved in the shooting continues to be treated at the Hennepin County Medical Center for a single gunshot wound to the abdomen, and authorities continue to work on getting a statement on the incident. Sergeant Kilian was uninjured, and returned to work this week following a standard administrative leave. When the investigation is complete, the BCA will present its findings to the McLeod County Attorney’s Office for review.
