Law enforcement officials from Martin County, Fairmont and Truman were called out to the Fairmont Wal-Mart Saturday evening after a woman there allegedly threatened another shopper, and claimed that she had a gun. The call came in at around 7:40pm Saturday. The suspect reportedly confronted the female shopper and told her to walk away, saying she had a gun. The threat was repeated, and the victim walked away, leaving her purse behind in a shopping cart. The suspect then allegedly took the purse, but apparently got rid of it before exiting the store. Investigators have since determined that no firearm was displayed or used during the incident. The suspect’s name has not been released at this time, but she is facing several charges, including aggravated 2nd-degree robbery.
