A federal grand jury in Minnesota has indicted a Kentucky man on bank robbery charges for a local area bank robbery last month. 25-year-old George Richard Gaunt of Louisville, Kentucky is accused of robbing the Peoples State Bank in Eagle Lake on October 15th. Authorities say that Gaunt presented a note to a bank employee and displayed a gun. He later reportedly called 911 and admitted that he had robbed the bank, and said he didn’t pull over for authorities because he didn’t want the state troopers to shoot him. Gaunt is also the suspect in a bank robbery near Cedar Rapids, Iowa as well as two in Virginia. He’s facing up to 25 years in prison for the Eagle Lake bank robbery.
