A 51-year-old St. Peter man was arrested this week over accusation that he had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl from Mankato. Gregory Ross Sunderman was arrested Monday after an investigation by Mankato Police and the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office allegedly confirmed the relationship. Sunderman is being held in the Blue Earth County Jail facing 3rd-degree Sexual Assault charges.
A Waseca man facing a total of 29 felony charges after allegedly breaking into a woman’s home and sexually assaulting her pleaded Not Guilty in Waseca County Court on Tuesday. 33-year-old Armando Delacruz Jr allegedly broke into the home in September and tied the woman up and blindfolded her before raping her multiple times. The victim reportedly recognized Delacruz, and was later able to identify him to authorities and he was taken into custody. In court on Tuesday his attorney asked that 12 of the 21 counts against him be dropped as duplicates of the same alleged act. His trial will take place in February.
