Criminal Incidents At MN Wal-Marts 13 Nov 13

Charges have now been filed against a Fairmont woman accused of robbing a shopper at the Fairmont Wal-Mart store over the weekend. 61-year-old Freda Jahnke has been charged with 2nd-degree felony aggravated robbery and theft for the Saturday incident. Authorities say that Jahnke confronted a female shopper at the Wal-Mart and told her to walk away, saying she had a gun. The victim did walk away as directed, but apparently left her purse in a shopping cart and Jahnke allegedly took the purse and left the store. Investigators later determined that no gun was used. Jahnke remains in custody in the Martin County Jail on a $30,000 bond. Her next court appearance is set for next Monday.
