Vikings Stadium Meetings Today 03 Oct 13

A Minnesota Senate committee gets an update from the state Gambling Control Board today (THU) on e-pulltab revenues for the new Vikings stadium — but Governor Dayton says as far as he’s concerned, “e-pulltabs is history” and we are no longer depending on any money from them. Lawmakers took money from the cigarette tax increase to plug this year’s e-pulltab revenue shortfall. In future years, the money will come from what Democrats term closing a business tax loophole. The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority will meet today as well to vote on an agreement that will commit the team to the new stadium for 30 years, as well as one that will detail key information on season tickets, otherwise known as seat license fees.
