Six people were hurt in a crash in Watonwan County late Sunday morning, including 3 young children. It happened at just before 11:30am on County Road 10 at the County Road 5 Highway 60 detour. A westbound Jeep Cherokee driven by 48-year-old Eric Duvall of Sioux City, South Dakota collided with a southbound Chevy Tahoe driven by 27-year-old Adam Breckenridge of Butterfield. Both drivers were hospitalized in St. James, along with all of their passengers, including Duvall’s 9-year-old son and 8 and 5-year-old daughters, all from Brownton, and Breckenridge’s 30-year-old passenger, Nicholas Breckenridge of Albert Lea. All of their injuries are said to be non life-threatening.
Three people were injured in a 3-vehicle crash on Highway 22 in Mankato Sunday afternoon. A Chevy Tahoe driven by 20-year-old Ryan Jorgenson of Estherville, Iowa was eastbound on Madison Avenue and collided head-on with a Toyota Camry after turning onto the highway. Both vehicles then hit a Toyota Rav-4 stopped at the light. Jorgenson and his passenger, 45-year-old Wendy Jorgenson of Estherville, and the driver of the Camry, 20-year-old Eric Rooney of Inver Grove Heights were all hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries. No one else was hurt. The crash happened at around 2:15 Sunday afternoon, and remains under investigation.
