No Startering QB For Vike’s, Robison Gets Extension 10 Oct 13

Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier has not named a starting quarterback for this Sunday’s home game against Carolina.  Frazier says it will either be Christian Ponder or Matt Cassell.  Ponder is nursing a fractured rib, while Cassell is healthy.  Cassell’s lone start resulted in Minnesota’s lone win so far this year.  Frazier says the team will not use new Q-B Josh Freeman until he learns the offense.  Frazier says the coaching staff will monitor the quarterback play in practice this week and likely announce something close to gameday.  Kickoff on Sunday is noon at the Metrodome. Viking’s Country tonight at 6pm on 860 AM KNUJ and SAM 107.3.

Vikings Agree To Extension With Robison

The Vikings have agreed to a contract extension with defensive end Brian Robison.  Through four games this season, he has 10 tackles, one sack and a 61-yard fumble return for a touchdown.  Robison is in his seventh season with the Vikings and has appeared in 94 games with 38 starts.  The Vikings also waived defensive end Justin Trattou.
