Toronto’s Mason Raymond scored twice to back 37 saves from goaltender James Reimer as the Maple Leafs cruised past the Wild 4-1 in Ontario last night. Tyler Bozak and Trevor Smith both scored first period goals for Toronto, which has won three straight and leads the NHL with 12 points. Jason Pominville scored his third goal of the year for the Wild, who had won their previous three. Darcy Kuemper allowed three goals on seven shots in 32-plus minutes of action before giving way to Josh Harding, who stopped all six shots he faced the rest of the way. Minnesota controlled the puck much of the game and outshot the Leafs 38-to-14, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Toronto’s efficiency. The loss snapped a three-game Wild winning streak, while Toronto has won six of its first seven gams this season. Minnesota is off today and plays at Tampa Bay tomorrow night.
