A 75-year-old Glencoe man is dead after a collision with a semi-truck Tuesday morning. It happened at just after 7:30am on Highway 212 in Glencoe. The semi was traveling westbound on 212 when a Ford Windstar van that had been driving southbound on Highway 22 pulled out onto 212 and the vehicles collided in the intersection. The driver of the van, Emil Ellis of Glencoe was dead at the scene. The driver of the semi, 39-year-old Troy Freidrichs of Gibbon was not hurt. Highway 212 had been closed following the crash, but has since re-opened. The State Patrol is in charge of the investigation into the collision.
