The Brown County Board today (TUE) is scheduled to consider a contract with the Brown County Evaluation Center for detox services for the county next year. The contract includes a 4% increase in daily per-diem costs with a two percent hike to the county discount. The evaluation center detox division does receive some federal funding as well. A total of 969 patients have been admitted so far this year, compared to 1,008 as of this point in 2012. In other business today, the Brown County Board will debate a proposal to upgrade camera systems in the county jail as well as other parts of the Law Enforcement Center and courthouse. The costs would be split by jail commissions and software expenses. The county board meeting starts at 9am in the county courthouse in New Ulm.
