A New Ulm woman was injured in a 3-vehicle collision in Mankato Monday morning. It happened at just before 8am on the Highway 169 ramp to Riverfront Drive. An Olds Alero driven by 18-year-old Emily Downs of North Mankato rear-ended a Buick Rainier driven by 27-year-old Tana Lamm of New Ulm, and her vehicle then rear-ended a Kia Soul driven by 51-year-old Keryl Moore of Mankato which was stopped waiting for traffic. Downs and Lamm both suffered non life-threatening injuries, and were taken to the Mankato Mayo Hospital for treatment. Moore was not injured.
A Norwood Young America man was seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 94 in Wright County Monday morning. 47-year-old Ronald Steen was travelling eastbound on the freeway in an International semi-truck when he reportedly swerved to avoid a dog at around 6am and the truck rolled into the center median. Steen was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale with serious injuries, and his truck was totaled.
