Two of the 3 defendants in the murder of an elderly Willmar woman have now been indicted on 1st-Degree Murder charges. 19-year-old Brok Junkermeier is accused of strangling 79-year-old Lila Warwick to death in her Willmar home in late July in a robbery plot. He had been charged with 2 counts of 2nd-Degree Murder, but a grand jury indictment was announced Thursday charging him with 2 counts of 1st-Degree Murder and 1 count of 2nd-degree murder. His next court appearance will be October 16th. Lila’s grandson, 17-year-old Robert Warwick is accused of coming up with the plot to kill her and steal money he believed she had. Warwick had been charged with 2 counts of 2nd-Degree Murder as a juvenile, but he has now been indicted as an adult on two charges of 1st-Degree Murder. If convicted, Warwick and Junkermeier would face the possibility of life in prison without parole. A third suspect, 16-year-old Devon Jenkins, still faces charges of 2nd-Degree Murder in juvenile court as well.
