The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing juvenile. 15-year-old Paulina Leach reportedly walked away from her residence in Underwood Township, about 5 miles west of Vesta Wednesday morning. Her parents Daryl and Karen Leach called the sheriff’s office at around 8:30am to report that she had gone into a cornfield. She is described as a hispanic female about 5-feet tall and 100-pounds with black hair and wearing a green plaid skirt and white sleeveless shirt. She also has glasses, and was barefoot when she went missing. Authorities have been searching the area, and ask anyone with information to contact the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say that a 15-year-old girl who went missing from her home near Vesta Wednesday morning has been found. The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office was contacted after Paulina Leach walked into a cornfield near her residence in Underwood Township, about 5 miles west of Vesta. She was located in the field about 14 hours later with the help of a State Patrol helicopter. Authorities say that the girl appeared to be uninjured, but was taken to a local hospital for observation as a precaution.
