Results From Latest DWI Crackdown 14 Sep 13

The state’s most recent effort to stop drunk drivers resulted in a total of 1,556 arrests. The campaign began August 16th and ran through Labor Day. Each year around 30,000 motorists are arrested for DWI in Minnesota. Drunk driving crashes have led to 585 deaths in the state in the past five years, and more than three-quarters of the state’s annual driving deaths occur in greater Minnesota.
