Wildlife artists can submit entries to try to be the winning design of the 2014 Minnesota State Pheasant Stamp. The period to enter began this morning and runs through September 20th. The winner will not receive a prize, other than to know his or her design is the 2014 Pheasant Stamp, although winners traditionally have offered a print of the artwork and can keep the proceeds from any marketing and sales of such prints. Revenue from the actual hunting stamp is dedicated to pheasant management. The contest is open to Minnesota residents only and must be submitted in a securely-wrapped envelope or container to the DNR.
