Local area legislators are holding a public “Town Hall Forum” today (THU) to explain Minnesota’s upcoming health insurance exchange. MNsure is the online insurance marketplace where Minnesotans will find and compare health plans and choose the coverage that fits their needs. It will be up and running October 1st, with everyone needing to be covered by January 1st, or face penalties. State Senator Kathy Sheran, and State Representatives Kathy Brynaert and Clark Johnson are sponsoring today’s forum, which begins at 6pm in Heritage Hall on South Central College’s North Mankato Campus. The executive director for MNsure will also be on hand to provide information and answer questions. The first part of the non-political forum will focus on health care for individuals, and the second part on small businesses. All area residents are invited to attend.
