Lynx Win, Moore Honored 05 Sep 13

  Lynx star Seimone Augustus scored 23 points to pace Minnesota past Los Angeles 83-74 in a key WNBA game last night in Minneapolis.  Maya Moore added 20 points for Minnesota, which moved its WNBA-best record to 23-and-7.  The Sparks fell to 21-and-9 after getting a game-high 25 points from Candace Parker.  Minnesota outscored L-A 27-to-15 in the second quarter and never looked back.  The Lynx are at Seattle on Saturday night for a 9 p.m. game.

  Moore Honored

 Minnesota Lynx star Maya Moore has been named the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Month for August.  She won the first monthly award of her career by averaging 21.6-points per game in the month of August, shooting 56.7-percent in the process.  Minnesota was 8-and-4 in the month.
