A special “Youth Summit” is taking place in New Ulm later this month for high school students and their parents from around the local area. The registration for the “Live Out Loud” Youth Summit is free, and there is free busing from Brown County communities. There is a $5 registration fee for those who attend school outside of Brown County. The event is being sponsored by Healthy Communities/Healthy Youth and the Underage Substance Abuse Coalition, with the highlights including a distracted driving course, presentations on suicide awareness and teen substance abuse, ways to become a youth leader, and more. The Youth Summit takes place from 9am to 3pm on Saturday, September 28th at New Ulm High School, but you must register by this Friday (9/13) by contacting Mike Brigger at (507)354-8632.
